Today we are out on a northern WI lake and we are fishing for whatever bites! Spring is a great time of year to be a multispecies fisherman as pretty much everything can be found up in shallow water. Often times bass, walleyes and other gamefish can be found on the same spots during the spring period. Generally we target walleyes but catch a wide variety of fish! Today we are using one of my favorite types of lures to fish for spring walleyes. Although as you can see we take whatever bites! I have been catching a ton of fish this season on the Kalin’s Tickle Tail Swimbait. This video shows how I like to fish this lure for spring time walleyes. Thanks for watching!

Love watching your videos! What body of water is this?
I'm intending to fish more swimbaits for walleyes this spring so appreciated the tips!
What was that baits name at beginning of video
And if ya don’t know , now ya know
That and a grub are my two favorite ways to fish for Walleye?
Thanks for the swim bait insights and techniques Tom. I have always just pretty much used live bait on walleye and yesterday on opening day I nailed the biggest walleye I have ever caught on the st croix using swim baits for the first time. I'm hooked!
Way to go Mitchel !! I was thinking Tom edited your catches out. LOL . No, He wouldn't do that .. Great work Boys..
Thanks for your education style of fishing videos and the details you include. I’m 53 years old and have been fishing all my life. There’s a ton of channels out there, but your vision, passion, reliability, variety and quality is only equal to Lindy and other top professionals. You have a new I pad subscriber here and I want you to know I appreciate you, Shelby and Surly (surly?). Keep up the good work dude! You’re the man, LOL!
My thanks for the great information. Nice day on the water.
What braid is that ?
Can't wait to try this technique very soon. Great video as usual. Do you see any advantage (or disadvantage) to using a small loop knot for a little more action on the swimbait?
My favorite way to fish no matter what season
You need to be a member of the Googan squad. They talk bass and your expertise in walleye will help so many people
Love all your vids, but cant stand the noise your line makes when reeling in fish, sounds like its destroying line guides and looks like lt doesn't reel in smoothly
Swimbaits are awesome. They are my confidence baits. One of the best videos on pop jigging. Nice work guys!
I freaking love swimbaits.
Nice video’s dude
Great video Tom! Was this video filmed at LCO?
We really enjoy watching and using swimbaits that work
I noticed you did not try to lip the musky . Nice walleyes and smallies. LOL
Thanks Tom teaching us new tactics for us to catch walleye and Smallies
This video is great! I’m going to Canada in June and plan on implementing much of your tactics for walleye! Thank you, Tom!
Glad the dude was using his leaf blower for 2 hours straight
What is that constant noise in the background that sounds like an outboard or a loud bilge pump
Thank you for all the extremely informative videos for the last 2 years. My walleye fishing went next level with your tactics and knowledge. Maybe we can share a boat once again this summer or fall. Thanks for everything
Great stuff as always Tom!!
Do you tie direct to the jig or would a little quick connect be OK to use? Great video, as usual.
Great video Tom! Keep them coming
Great video! With the cold weather coming this weekend how will that change where and how you would fish?
You've really got me "hooked up" as a new subscriber. You're knowledgeable, entertaining and not afraid to try new things. Thanks for the great videos!
Sorry one more question , I looked up the shiner color but it doesn’t look the same as you were using , could it be albino Shad ? Gray on top and white belly? Thx !
Tom , what water temp were you fishing the swim baits in this video ? What’s your favorite for this technique ? Thx !
Ever fished Chetek or Rice Lake or surrounding area? Any walleye hotspots you can share? I am trying to help my son catch his first walleye and I have yet to catch one myself. The lakes are so big, I don't know where to start or what bait to use first. We do have a boat and a down imaging Hummingbird Helix. A lot of where we go has a weedy bottom and the bottom jigging is tough.
you think a twitch tail(single tail) would work just as good as a paddle tail?
Great content Tom. Just placed an order for the tt. Gonna give it a rip! Keep up the great work brutha!
As always great video Tom,headed to Chetek chain next week
Do you prefer it over the jerk minnow jr now?
Badass! What’s your water clarity in the lake to have those fish up that shallow?
What’s the water temp?
If you were to do this on on the lower part of Green Bay in May what would be your preferred colors? I would like to take my son out to try this. Thanks
I'm pretty sure the guy way in the background with the giant beard around 5:37 was angry and bitter because you were catching things and he wasn't 😉
As always a informative and entertaining video from one of the best!
Hey Tom, I'm going up to northern Wisconsin today. What's the best size jigs for paddle tail swimbaits? The lake is 5-15 feet in most areas with alot of humps and holes all over. Also what size Lindy weights are good for drifting those depths?
Thank you
