This video shows how I like to rig up a paddle tail to catch big redfish, flounder and trout on the Texas coast. I go over the why I use the swim hook and the benefits and how I like to rig up the paddle tail to the swim hook for the best swimming action possible.

Can you show the retrieve
Can you show us how to rid the jetty slip cork please? Thank you so much!
Seems like a good idea to me. I picked up some of those hooks and some of the little screw gizmo to go on my hooks. Like the looks of that paddle tail… Thanks
My Skellys just arrrived. Can't wait to throw em
Use a black handkerchief as a backdrop for your knots. Good content. I'm taking my Old Town Topwater 120 out on the water the first time this weekend at Christmas Bay.
Do you have adsense on youre Youtube account?
RX what weight hooks do you prefer? I’ve been using 1/8 ounce but some times wonder about going lower. 1/4 seams to be too aggressive in the back marsh.
12lb test?! You’re a brave man… may the force be with you! I haven’t seen you lose a fish yet so I’m guessing it works good. Cool video man! Fish on brotha! 🇺🇸🙌🏼🎣
I've started using swim hooks this year. Like other comments, they are much better around oyster, shell and grass. But I use a non slip loop knot on the hook. It allows the lure to have more action. I also use a FG knot to tie my fluoro leader to my braid.
Thank you for some awesome info!
Maybe do the knot tying with a black backdrop for better Visual thanks again for this video
Couldn't see the line as you were tying. Also, doesn't Ohner have a center post to keep the screw mount in the center of the lure?
Swim hook = less snags on oysters too, perfect setup
Is he punking us, I didn't see the line at the end haha. 😁
That was great video it was hard to see the knot being tied. Also please clean up the room 🙂
Aw man Nick…I see you tied on the leader but what do you do right after that to attach it to your regular line?
I literally just started using swim hooks. Is the hookset any different than when fishing with jigheads?
Background was way to bright. Next time use a dark background
Next time put down a black cloth or piece of paper to see the knot work
I never use belly weighted hooks, I really should give them a shot!
Thanks for showing me. Wish I coulda seen that knot..
Paddle tail is one of my favorites.
I got my mystery tackle box I came with the skelly shrimp just order the skelly swim today
Or anything dark ….could not see line at all
What is the “shrimp stank” stuff you have been using?
Go to Karl's and search for paddle tails 😉
Hey Nick try using a black background it shows better with presentations
I cant find these Salt Native tails
A black background would help so you can see the line. Nice vid!
Only knot I use. Awesome vid
I clicked on the link to find the salt native skelly swim bait but I couldn't find it. Where can I buy some of those lures?
How do I get the Skelly Swim it’s not popping up on Karl’s???
I asked Mark but I’ll ask you too. How do you put that slabalicious on a flats bug? That coil on the hook really makes it hard to attach the nose of the slabalicious (and even get the old one off).
Would you tie that knot again w/some visible line? I have used the trilene knot for ever but didn't know about the modified version & your description of holes to go through is rather vague. Thanks & love yr. channel….keep up what yr. doing!
where can u find those hooks at i have never found them?
