I like the SVS braking system over the magnetic type of the Daiwas. It throws big baits further with less effort alright.
I have two 2018 Daiwa Ryoga 1520HL, it’s an amazing swimbait reel. It’s honestly the smoothest reel I’ve ever felt in my life. It’s equally on par with a Calcutta Conquest when it comes to smoothness and overall feel. Thank you as always for putting out another really good video. I can’t believe those scorpions are 160 bucks 🤯 that is a no brainer !!!
Nice reel! I have the same one 201 hg 24 model. Good reel chucking 2 – 3 oz bait. I hope that they should make slower gear ratio.
I heard a rumor, that I think it was the 300 scorpion and the 300 Tranks are going to be the exact same real. Japan they will call it the scorpion and America They’ll call it the Tranks.🤷🏻♂️ thanks for your review!

Man I’ve been eying this reel. Love the look of it. 😎 Can’t decide if I want one on a light swimbait setup, or if I should just use my Curado 200 M. 🤷🏻♂️😃 Lol can’t really find much difference between them. Cheaper at least! Shame I wish they had just made the new 300MD lighter. It seems so sweet with the extra brakes and long handle option, but at 11.4oz it weighs as much as the Tranx 300 like you mentioned, which is also about an ounce even heavier than the Curado 300’s that I already have on some of my bigger swimbait setups. Also surprising they didn’t make a lower ratio in it either, which a lot of big baits require in my opinion. Might still pick one of these up just for fun, haha or maybe even stick with the old Cardiff 300 for my light setup. That thing is the lightest 300 size reel I own and absolutely bomb casts. Incredible value that thing, it’s been solid if you never tried one check it out. Thanks for the video! 🎣😊🤙🏽
