I've seen the "Tail bleed" method, but why not the cut the gill plate which is where a major artery is located ?
Slice through the fish around the gills from the bottom to the top of the fish to cut the main arteries.

Great catch, I wouldn't use a fresh water baitcaster for saltwater fishing tho, salt water will break the reel, I would upgrade to a better rod and reel/
