Pasqua Lake Afternoon Wader Session (SwimBait Walleye & Pike)

One of my favorites ways to catch spring walleye = wader fishing sandy flats in shallow water!
If you’ve been following my YouTube or Instagram, you already know it, yes, the jig/paddle tail combo simply slays! If you haven’t tried it, start throwing it! Probably the best search bait for finding walleye in the shallow from shore because first, you can fish it fast. Second, it’s very easy to make bottom contact. Last but not least, if a hungry walleye sees/senses it swimming by, you can guarantee it’ll come chase and destroy it. That’s why it’s my number 1 confidence walleye bait. Gotta love the amazing fishery in our province of Saskatchewan. And big thanks to the fish hatchery station for raising young trout and walleye to keep our fish population healthy!

  1. Don't lay your fish in the gravel and waste so much time with them out of the water simply to measure them. If you're going to release them (which is the right thing to do), then just unhook them and release them right in the water or the net, but never dump them in the gravel like that.
