Just waiting for those folks to roll out the tungsten v2 for a few extra dollars. It would be a simple improvement to most of their products (especially TUSH and Hover Rig).
Has anyone else had this tear the plastic as it goes in
Am I missing something? Can’t see a link for the tush rig
👍🏻
Sorry, that looks like crap
Yeah the 3/4oz ones have split two of my magdrafts. I don’t know if it’s the cold weather and I put the weight through the meaty part of the bait it has ruined a couple magdrafts.
Good way to fuck up a good free draft.
I bought mine…. I can't wait to get on the water with it 🎣🤙
I said, Lord, take me downtown
I’m just lookin for some Tush.
The hook eye will be flush with the nose if you rotate the hook a little farther through the bait.
Will be getting some soon trying it out
I bought a set of these recently. Haven't fished it a lot yet. How is it superior to a keel weighted EWG with a screw lock? You can Texpose the hooks in those, which eliminates the strike deterent (and the weed factor) of an exposed hook. Anyway, just curious.
The hover rig is indeed a winner!! Caught 4 on it over the weekend in pouring rain. 2 on the dropshot. Hover rig taking over!!
Been fishing the sparkly shad on the core hook it gets a lot of bites
“I said Lord take me downtown…I’m just looking for some tush!”
I ordered mine. Got em all and got my free hat from Matt. Can't wait to try this on the Coosa River this winter.
Rigging these looks like you get your workout in and can skip a gym day;)
Hey Randy, wonder how they would perform on an A-rig?
Would you recommend it?
Hey Randy we never get tired of you talking about the lake break down map's your trying to help us become better angler's. Hey Randy that hover rig is awesome I think that's the best setup for swimbaits that I've ever seen.
Lead Wire + Hook = Exact hook and weight that you want, when you want it. Coat with Sally Hansen if concerned about lead…don't handle lead then lick fingers as is done in this video. Or, use lead-free wire as required by local regs. Or, with smaller hooks, simply string on slotted tungsten bead(s) and lock in place with bobber stops, tying thread, glue of choice, etc. Tungsten goes a long way as it's twice as dense as lead, and shows up better on FFS. The clam shell lead shot sold at Bass Pro also work well when clamped to your hook with pliers. Just fly tying techniques I thought I'd share. Bottom line: You get the hook and weight you want, a desire that is repeated in the comments.
Are these weights lead or an alternative metal? That would be a Lot of lead ingested by a fish if it was to break off.
Not enough hook sticking out of the bait. They either should make a wider gap, or try to rig it with the shank (weighted part) running through the upper half of the bait, not middle.
Is there a reason the hook eye sticks out so far?
Was banging smallies on a 3.3 keitech with the smaller sized tush
Also your keitech or other soft swim bait is going to last and won’t pull off.
Never thought to use it on my mag drafts
Definitely will now
Love this rig and the hover rig. I’m sure you know that the hover rig has already been copied. Got my hovers already. Sticking with the original.
That looks great. It will won't slip on that rig. I would caution people not to lick your fingers touch the lead then lick your fingers again, like you did in the video. Lead is not something you want or need in your system. Use water not saliva.
I got the two lighter Tush weights, can't wait to try these out. Thanks for showing this Randy!!
Hi great video! Do they sell them ready to go with the hook already set in? I struggle getting them perfect. Thanks
My Hover Rigs and Tush hooks should be here tomorrow or Monday along with some TexasEyez jig heads with swinging EWG hooks. I ordered 2 sizes of each and can't wait to try them in the saltwater. I kinda wonder about the Core stuff with Z Man soft plastics and Berkley Gulp because those are the plastics I use the most. If Gulp is getting trashed by tail biters I switch to Z Man. But I have regular soft plastics too and I think I'll need to use them with the Core Tackle stuff.
I'm excited to try them and tell Matt how they work for flounder, trout and redfish and he's excited to know.
I really enjoy your videos…
I bought all (3) weights. I find pretty easy to rig but the hooks need to be Sharpened. So, be aware of that. Good luck 🎣
That echo man
Too much eye sticking out for me.
Just wondering why is it upside down or is that the way it's suppose to be
It would be nice if the line tie was closer to the bend. The longer shank catches grass.
That rubber stays on it better too , keeps from sliding down on hook sets
Part of the problem with tackle is companies have copied the core tackle hover hook next the tush,
I can’t wait to try them. I love their hover, rig. I’ve been pairing it with the Berkley Gilly, and skipping it under docs
Did you rig that upside down? Does it matter?
It would be easier if u put ur fish scent on instead of spit,, plus now u just added scent that will keep coming out , not bagging on the spit but scent u get more out of it than just spit
CAREFUL! I always use pliers so the hook doesn't go into my hand.
Nothing new to fly fisherman goes back at least 25 years. Just saying.
I wonder if this will work with the Berkeley gilly.
Don’t slip or you’ll get a hand full of hook.
I'm going to order right now!
Ordered some a couple days ago can’t wait to throw them
Very cool. I wii snag some
Awesome video, but it was stolen from hover rig by your friend Matt
