Matt and Tim hit the water on a post-frontal, windy day. Instead of battling the conditions they dropped down to small swimbaits and underspins and had a great day!

When we talk about swimbaits and paddletails its normally a conversation about big baits. But when the going gets tough you have to adapt to the conditions. Dropping down to a small swimbait with or without an underspin blade is a great way to get bit in even the toughest conditions!
With the storm blowing out and the post frontal conditions setting in we dropped all the way down to 8 lb test on spining rods with little 1/8 oz swimbait heads and 2-3″ swimbaits. We may not have caught any giants but we had a blast on a difficult day!
These same methods are a pond fishing secret and work equally well when creek fishing or bank fishing in pressured waters. Its amazing what will eat a little swimbait when they won’t eat anything else!

CL is so pretty
Pretty gooshy video guys! That said, it’s obvious that you two are true brothers obsessed with a common goal. And, I truly appreciate it. My question is; How would either of you approach a Southern California reservoir ( smalll/deep), that is VERY highly pressured? Where,( unless it’s the May algae bloom) the viability is on average 15-20’+. And, has giant bass in it! Plus, rarely does time of year, or weather make much of a difference… only simple bass patterns & lake turn over… hence the algae. The reason I ask is that the lake I’m referring to was my nemesis until you two taught me different. I catch bass every time I go now. Mostly dinks or 1-2 lbs. Looking to catch larger bass

Ive been using my glx 893 jwr for this all the way up to the 4.8 swing impact baits. Is everyone else using a fast rod or more of a moderate rod for this application ????
Flip flops and hoodies, on a boat, bass fishing, mid November. Not me. Not in Kansas.
could y'all do an in-depth video on finesse swimbait fishing, talk about the best jig heads, rods, lines, and baits for it?
so elephants do eat pea nuts whats a good head choice and style for 3.8 and 5 inch swimbaits size for fishing depth 5 to 15 ft depth
any chance from now on in your videos that you could include the details links like which rod action and length down to what size weight of underspin was used for your TW links please and thank you.
Up-sized on the Konocti burgers. Good call!
Heck yeah, as Bill Dance would put it DADGUMMIT! lol
Would this also be the time to employ the finese swim baits?
would a tripletrout or a glide bait be better for murky water?
why use spinning rods?
Nice, right in back of my place!
Man well that's sad news to hear, just got my 8" hudd and a front hit this morning. I might throw it half the day anyway who knows, maybe I can get a lucky break
Another great show guys. It's good to see your human.. Sorry too get off the subject, but I'd like to know if you use lure retrievers for your expense baits. I know you fish deep and at night.
Wish I could get on the water but our weather here in Iowa went from 70 degrees to 35 degrees from yesterday to today and doesn't look like it's going back up
use to do this with little 3'' smoke spring grub gotta try the swimbaits!
Different camera setting or was it just the lighting from that day. Looks good.
Lol I'm wearing the same hoodie! Love this hoodie!
My man, go watch my vid on how to rig a Swimbait I'm sure you would appreciate it
What's Tim snacking on?
Great tip! I'm heading to my local Gander Mountain on the way home to get some smaller swim baits today! Good stuff!
I was using the smaller swim baits last year and did great with them, I haven't got to get on the water lately due to work, But gonna hit the water tomorrow morning to try this out again! You guys are always right on top of the seasons and transitions. Keep e'm coming guys!
im hungry now…thanks Tim! lol
Do you have apparel you sell?
can you do a video on jointed swim baits vs solid body swim baits or joined crank baits vs solid body.
You need some more subs. Your videos have the most info of all the fishing youtubers.
encouraging to see a vid in tough conditions guys! keep up the good work!
great video and thanks for the down sizing tips
