Building Crawler Confidence!

Is this the season of the crawlers? After seeing numerous giants caught on crawlers all over the swimbait forums I’ve had enough! I decided to commit an entire session to throwing nothing but my crawler in hopes of catching some fish and building up my confidence in these baits.

This specific crawler is built by another fellow New Englander Ger Khang.

  1. Crawlers are so fun. They get smashed. I've had my best luck with a homemade one I bought off the Universe, an NZ, and a couple megabass I wings. NZ is to wide and to many misses, the Megabass both work incredible but the aluminum wings break. The battle wing is probably my next one.

  2. I’ve had absolutely horrible hookup rate on my sherpa crawler. Luckily most fish hit it more than one time and often times I’ll get them the second blow up. The other night I had the same fish blow up 6 times over 3 casts and never actually got a hook. I like the idea of taking the propeller off, I might try that too

  3. Alot of my bites have been like this and fish keep coming off..on all baits..I've had no issue with the propeller on mine yet and have caught quite a few..personally I think with being this time of year the bass's mouths are at their softest…a goodhead shake, run, jump or tail walk and poof bye 👋 fish..or we can say I just suck at fishing 😆..this has been a very tough year for me..lots of frustration, some bad heart breaks with giants coming off right at the yak that still have me thinking of them daily, and more skunk trips than I've ever had in all my life…..it's depressing 😆..love the vids and content always dude 🤙🤘
