Your video is great. I want to get started fishing the canals, but I have no idea where to start. There are soooo many miles canals to pick from. I normally fly fish high mountain streams, but want to find some local fishing to spin fish, which I haven't done for many years. Any ideas where to start in the canal system? Thanks, Paul

I live near Consolidated Canal right at Chandler Blvd and Cooper in east valley. Have you had any luck there for large mouth? I see carp swimming all the time and have pulled out a couple cats and sun fish. Haven't had any luck with Bass yet. I've tried Texas Rig, a few swim baits but haven't even had a bite. Granted, I go at random times and not for super long, but I feel like I should be getting bites. New-ish to fishing so just looking for a little guidance if you've fished this stretch of the canal before. Thanks!
Been hitting the canals but keep getting skunked with bass only carp is what ive been seeing, i live in the west valley so im assuming the canals out here aren’t full of bass like the ones on the east valley?

Brother have you tried the jackall flickshake yet? My canal system has been rough, maybe 1-2 a day. Caught 5 in an hour on the flickshake today. We should fish together sometime!

That is my go to spot after work. Its been getting pretty crowded since the algae patch cleared up. you'll be lucky to get 1-2 before they get spooked and spread out at the dam part.

I fish these canals in Tempe or mesa. And all this rain/heat has really thrown me for a loop. I can usually catch at least 5 good bass. Lately I’ve been pulling my hair out to get a bite lol.
