I understand being a big swimbait guy or whatever.. but like, during spawn.. their up shallow.. why not just use tried and true, traditional baits just upsized a bit for the spawn bite? you dont need to throw an 8" bait in 1-2ft of water just to be a swimbait guy .. like, some subsurface large bluegill wake would be ideal?.. just a thought man, good stuff

How often do you change the line on your reels ?
havent been catching anything at Pleasant on the big swimbaits this past couple weeks. Switched to deep diver crank in rocky deep coves and deep ledges both right off main lake ( 20-30' crankbait) and caught a few. Nothing special but had one 4lb, the others were under 2. Better then nothing I guess.

I also had a big bait / no fish morning today, doesn't even faze me tho… playing Hero or Zero til winter sets in, I'm mentally ready for it. I've been using FC Sniper on my conventional gear for years, and am running 20# on my swimbait reels this fall. Easily the best FC that I've used.
