  1. Once you set the hook, hold the rod tip much higher. When the rod is pointed at the fish, there is no flex (action) in the rod. The rod should be a shock absorber not allowing the fish to shake the hook when there is slack.

  2. Hey man, I'm curious why you don't set the hook? They inhale that bait whole and you need to pop it to get it moving forward in their mouth to get that hook in em. Otherwise it's in their mouth closed and when you reel, they just open their mouth and spit the bait. Try popping that bait harder and see if your hookups don't get better.

  3. I just got a pack of 12 and I have gotten some solid fish on it
    Yes I get more bites but I also lose more fish .. maybe there's gotta be a wag we can open up the hook. A bit more .
