  1. One of the little things I recently started doing, is when I remove the eyes from the backing I place them on a thin layer of baking soda on a paper plate. Now they don't want to stick to anything they touch and once they make contact with the super glue and set up they seem to be bullet proof. I still seal them after gluing them in place.

  2. 2 things I don’t get so I would appeciate your clarification on (there is likely a reason for it so my questions are purely intended to learn, not to critisize): why is the hook point bent inwards? The idea about the swimbait hook was to create a better hook opening for better hookup ratio compared to earlier worm jig hooks used for weedless flies. Second, this hook has several ‘planes’ where you can keel the fly. I usually use the bottom flat or the upright part going towards the hook eye to apply lead wire to keel the fly. No critisism intended at all, just curious why you don’t take advantage of the specific planes in this hook design to weight it in a different manner because this is what I love about this design of the hook. Thanks for your feedback! Much appreciated!

  3. Nice fly Brian. It looks like I'll be heading your way in May or June to float the Buffalo and White Rivers, maybe the Current or another river if the Buffalo doesn't have enough water. What flies would you bring and what weight rods. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.
