Great fly, love Paul's designs! Was wondering if craft fur can be used for the nayat?
Killar tye Brian!!!!
Great tip about advancing thread to help tapering!
Nice , Iโve never tied using this hook may have to give it a try . Thanks for sharing
I really love this fly! thanks for adding the step by step directions!
That fly is awesome man I like your videos
One of the little things I recently started doing, is when I remove the eyes from the backing I place them on a thin layer of baking soda on a paper plate. Now they don't want to stick to anything they touch and once they make contact with the super glue and set up they seem to be bullet proof. I still seal them after gluing them in place.
I've also seen this hook tied to ride hook point up. Does the lead wire weight it enough to ride point down?
Mr Wise! That hook looks bendt. The hook point should point straight to the eye(stinger style). I've had one or two like that. Will still probably work just as well as the rest of the pack๐๐
Super cool fly. I really like that hook
Cool beans
Good stuff. Again, digging those hooks!!!
Sweet Brian! I love these step by step videos.
Really magical. Beautiful
Cool tie as always. Just got some Nayat, so I really liked how you showed how you taper the material by flipping it over when you are rip stacking. I always learn something new from your videos!
Love the step by step stuff sir!
Paul Monaghan ties some good flies…oh, and you do too.
2 things I donโt get so I would appeciate your clarification on (there is likely a reason for it so my questions are purely intended to learn, not to critisize): why is the hook point bent inwards? The idea about the swimbait hook was to create a better hook opening for better hookup ratio compared to earlier worm jig hooks used for weedless flies. Second, this hook has several โplanesโ where you can keel the fly. I usually use the bottom flat or the upright part going towards the hook eye to apply lead wire to keel the fly. No critisism intended at all, just curious why you donโt take advantage of the specific planes in this hook design to weight it in a different manner because this is what I love about this design of the hook. Thanks for your feedback! Much appreciated!
Nice fly Brian. It looks like I'll be heading your way in May or June to float the Buffalo and White Rivers, maybe the Current or another river if the Buffalo doesn't have enough water. What flies would you bring and what weight rods. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.
I use the 280 thread in red for my white buck tail jigs I tie for a local bait and tackle shop.
The lead shipment ahead will turn the streamer over when passing snags and obstacles and the streamer will constantly catch on obstacles.

Great looking fly thanks for sharing.
