Butch Brown Swimbait 24/7 Boat

Butch Brown from Swimbait 24/7 gives us a tour of his boat. With 3-4 complete rebuilds and over 1500 double digit bass to come over the gunnel, it is setup exactly the way he wants it to be.

  1. OK so your a Castaic guy too. I didn't know that. I lived in Northridge and fished there in its glory days most of the 1980s almost daily and nightly before the Crupi, Torres and Arujo basses that caused the madness and down fall of the lake for largemouth (along with stripers working their way in from pyramid around 1992 ) and madness of the early 1990s. I caught a 20 lb bass from the swimbeach on the lower lake one night in July 1985. Me and a handful of friends routinely caught 15 -18 pounders for years from the lower lake, most of the decade…it was insane. I moved to Palmdale to chase the big stripers in pyramid, and Then eventually to Bullhead city to chase the hot striper bite on the Colorado for a few years while that lasted. I recently moved back to Tennessee to go after the big ones here. It's unquestionable the best spot in the country now for 50 and 60 pounders. The rivers and lakes and dams are perfect breeding grounds for these monsters today. Im getting some of these deps 250s and that's all I throw now are big swim and glide baits. I want another 50lber! Thanks for your input and contribution to the sport..

  2. Awesome boat, I'm personally not fan these huge shiny, fancy bass boats. Of course thier extremely nice I know that. I'm a kayak angler so being stealthy, quiet is everything to me! I wouldn't trade my kayak for a big bass boat other than to sell it get another kayak. I do like smaller John boats & like your set up. Just makes more sense to me. I've been swimbait fishing a couple years now. Started with 6" soft & glides. Now been throwing 8-10" baits. It's caught me all my big bass so far. Haven't broken that double digit threshold yet though. My biggest was 8.98 & had multiple 7's. Keeps fishing I'll catch one eventually. Then I'll need to catch a teener. That's what I love about fishing. It's never ending what you can learn & improve yourself on!!!

  3. Hey Mr.Brown first off that’s a dialed set up. Couldn’t help but notice the good looking garage, but you’re missing an epoxy floor. I’m a licensed and certified installer. Let me know if you’re interested. I’m out of Southern California.
