I head into the Monterey Bay lauching out of Santa Cruz harbor hoping to catch myself a california halibut. It was a rough day, but I managed to hook one, and went through a bunch of rockfish on swimbaits and achovies. Still looking for that 30lb halibut…

Cut that T off the top of your slider, it serves no purpose but to tangle you. 😉
You mentioned the waves, what app or weather channel do you use? Thanks
Cant use 3 rods at 1 time ….good vid tho

7:57 has me wondering. De donde eres?
Nice vid, glad you didn't run into another stingray.
Nice vid dude. Have you thinking about investing on a wetsuit or something like that. Better luck next time.
❤❤❤
You can buy nets that don't split the fishes tails. Find them on Amazon or any fishing store
Do you have much luck with halibut in locations where you're catching rockfish? Seems like areas with structure that hold rockfish wouldn't have the sandy bottoms for halibut, but I suppose some areas have a mix of both?
Just let you know ocean fishing you can't use more than one rod in the water so becareful you can get a big fine for it..
Another great vid!
Fish will hit the weight
