Today I took the kayak to Cayuga Lake in Ithaca New York to do some Lake Trout fishing. I was vertical jigging with Keitech Swing Impact Fatbody swimbaits over deep water and I was using them on 1 ounce Vmc Mooneye Jighead

Nice video Ralph. Iβm heading to Cayuga Lake state park with the kayak Labor Day weekend. Have you ever used a drift sock? I fear I wonβt be able to hold my position. Any thoughts?
Great video and beautiful fish. You reply to every comment and question which is outstanding and very kind of you. About 30 years ago I used to pull copper in 90 feet of water in Seneca and would always catch Lake Trout. I am just starting jigging like this in Keuka about 2 miles from the South end. I have pretty much the same exact jighead but even on dead calm days my line seems to go way to the side, not straight down. I even put a half ounce slip sinker on the line. Also, do you have any videos showing the fish finder screen as you drop down, jig and retrieve?
Plus, do you zoom to say just the bottom 20 feet? Thanks!
cool vid, thanks (:
Awesome content I never fished for lakers but you definitely gave me some ideas if I ever try to target them
Another excellent video, Thanks for sharing! I fished a bunch of the finger lakes this summer with the kayak trying to vertical jig. I have yet to catch a fish but am not giving up!
Hey there Ralph! I was thinking about hitting Keuka lake for some lake trout on a kayak this Sunday, do you think that water is too choppy??
Great video! Whens the best time/season to catch lakers?
Hi, where on the lake would you recommend for launching a kayak?
Nice video I want to start fishing Cayuga this year. What type of jig head is that and what color swimbait. I used to smelt fish up there a the time as a kid.
Outstanding ππ
Dude that fish was insane holy crap
Man they are some nice fish!! They look delicious!
Glad to see you posting again after a bit of a break! You laid into some good looking trout! Looked like a fun day out there!
Count me jealous ππΌ
Great vid Ralph. Fished Cayuga this summer on a charter. We caught lakers from 12lbs to 8 lbs. It was phenomenal. They hit riggers, dipsy and lead core. Can you tell us a little about your fish finder. Was that a probe or your transducer?
Man, those are some great looking fish!
Awesome Ralph! I really like the color and pattern of those fish.
Beautiful trout man!
Love your video's. Did you mark fish at that depth? I'm new to this lake. What tips would you be willing to share? Like for example where are you on the lake, south? central? North?
Awesome job, brother!
Keep up the great workππ»π

Awesome video Ralph! Like everyone else in the comments, I've never landed a Laker haha. Cool to see somebody catching them out the same kayak that I own though haha, I know it's possible now.
