I always keep a paddle tail swimbait tied on when I’m fishing a grassy lake. I rigged the Beast Coast Miyagi on a weedless hook and set off to find some evening bass. The ability to run the weedless swimbait through any cover is truly an invaluable tool for bank anglers. Join me as I catch some fish, explain the setups, and drop a few tips along the way. Thanks for watching FEESHIN FRIENDS!
COMMENT BELOW and let me know if you’re having luck with a paddle tail swimbait!

Here in Central Texas, some of the smaller lakes and ponds get choked with what we call the spring grass bloom. The bottom of these places just get choked with dense grasses and it can be a challenge to keep your bait from getting overpowered by the grasses. I lost my first lipless of the year in that mess, so when the grasses subside by early summer, it should be fine.
What I absolutely slayed them on my first weekend out was the Miyagi. They didn't just hit it, they attacked it. The bites were super aggressive, and I mean vicious. I fished it half the day and landed some decent fish, mostly between two and three lbs.
I thought the miyagi was too big when I first saw it on this channel (this very video) but it's not. It has worked for me even when the whacky rig was being ignored.
I fish a small pond that is loaded with gill shad, I'm going to use the white/ pearl this time during the end of summer/early fall.
Ignore the haters. Let it be their problem, not yours! !
The e6x with the splitgrip and when it had the bone fish I would love to buy it off you if you wanted to sell it
Debo, that was a cool video! You catch a lot of "feesh". And that bait, 😂, it sure was battle worn — that many fish over days time. AMAZING!
I don't know if you're going to read this debo but im geting my fist baitcaster it's a rod and reel combo the two choices I have our lunkerhunt or Abu Garcia any suggestions
what rod is that?
i cant find the split grip model
I like the ending
Quoting the marines eh 👍
Ordered four packs of the Miyagi Swimmers, they came in last week and they look great but with this Waterloo weather, ain’t gone be no fishing for a couple more months lol
Hey Debo, what rod power, length and action are you using? Thanks
hey debo, what hook was this? I'm looking for a hook that i can use for rage Toads and 4.8 paddletail swimbaits
“Hanging on by hopes and dreams” 😂😂😂 Great double sesh! Fish On brother 🤙
My best day of feeshin in the last five years was yesterday on a paddle tail. Multiple 2-3 lbers and lost count of total fish. Thanks for the tip about using the tail after its destroyed for a jig trailer. Recent sub after watching lots of your vids. Keep up the fine work in the feeshin world.
Love your vids Debo. Keep it up!
Debowhat color is this beast coast Miyaigy please?
I was going to ask if you ever use a mouse?
You could barely see…
Can you throw a frog on a spinning reel? And with you swim baits. How do you feel about quick clips?
I’m gonna have to give the Miyagi a go. What hook are you using with these bad boys?
I need to order some of these to try. What size hook do you use on that?
Can you do a video review of the beast coast creep 6.5 swimbait color is bc shad
That’s a hell of a swimbait. Gonna have to check those out.
Nice✊✊💫
Im gonna pick up some of those miyagi for xmas.
Is it just my lakes that produce 0 bites in 15 trips? Hmm interesting
I went fishing this week end and this bait made my days for pike, they were in so much weed. Otherwise i would not have caught any fish at all.
I’ve got the Miyagis with the Berkley Fusion 6/0 like you suggested and mine doesn’t have a gap between the bait and the hook at all. Why do ours look so different? I’m confused. I even have the large centering pins like you suggested in another video
No tinys. I see you make your baits take punishment like I do.
Mag draft free style.
6/0 owner beast.
👍🏻👍🏻
Nice work, DEBO! I recently picked up some of those swimbaits…looking forward to trying them out.
Love the video man. Entertaining and educational, not just hey watch what I catch. Also love the message to fish even if you only have a little bit of time. Some of my best catches were caught in an open hour I fit into the day.
Nice video Debo are you sure of the weight of the blackout fish? Being that dark could have a been a 5 ponder we could not tell the difference…lol
Yeah I do know the grind but you are singing my song in this video. I love a swimbait.
you could always make that Miyagi last even longer by patching up and mending shut the holes in it with Mend-It softbait glue, so.
Since you are the expert I was wondering what the threshold length for a dink is… 8"? 10"? 12"? Please advise…
Another day of SLAYIN'. Keep, keepin' on Dapper Debo!
Ah man, they destroyed that bait. Awesome video & thanks for sharing 👊🎣😎
I dig the tick on your pole around the 5:40 and 11:25 mark
Can almost feel it through the vid lol
Epic dude!
If anyone fish, the bigger the lure , the bigger the fish u get
Awesome nights on the water! Like Mr. Miyagi always say, "Man who catch 20 bass on one swimbait, accomplish anything." 🥢
I have some dope gill colored ones that I’m gonna finally tie on and I’m waiting on my murauders to come I the mail
You need a headlamp , makes night fishing a lot easier
how are you liking that loomis rod? i tend to lean towards the dobyns rods because of their quality down to every little detail on the rod. i have yet to "splurgE" on these $3-500 rods…typically keep in the $1-200 range. oddly enough…rod hooks matter to me and i prefer the closed offset rod hook on the dobyns – hands down the best. not a fan of underneath lure hooks like on the SLX rods or loomis rods.
Awesome video Brother I’m headed to store pick me up some of those bad boys 💪🏻💥👍🏻👊🏻
Debo you are the F”@&$?# man!
You definitely got some use out of that swimbait! Beast coast definitely did there homework other swimbaits won't last that long and still have good swim action!
