Swimbait Bass Fishing on the Chicago River | Quick Kayak Adventure Before the 4th

Hey anglers! I managed to squeeze in a quick bass fishing session on the Chicago River before my family arrived for 4th of July celebrations. With just a couple of hours and rain on the horizon, my goal was to finally catch a largemouth bass using swimbaits in 2024.

I focused exclusively on swimbaits, eager to see if I could land a bass before the weather turned. Unfortunately, my day ended earlier than planned, but it wasn’t due to the rain—watch to find out what cut my fishing trip short!

Join me on my kayak for a fast-paced fishing adventure, and learn some swimbait techniques to boost your catch rate. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to my channel for more fishing videos, tips, and techniques.

  1. Your casting is artful, so smooth. I would’ve been snagged on like 15 tree branches. Need to learn how to skip it like that. I regularly fish the river and therefore I really like these videos. Thanks!

  2. Bless you. Love the video. Love the detail. Your going to do really well. Don’t know where the hell ya came from. But I greatly appreciate it. 😎✌️
