Magdraft 5 incher is super hot right now, after debuted in the North America a few months ago. In this video I compared the JDM 5 inchers side by side to the newer USDM 5 inchers from the appearance to underwater action to actual fish catching, to show you the good and bad about the argubably one of the best boot tail swimbaits. And you will see why I hated my JDM 5 inchers.
Also sharing a tip for fishing Magdraft in current.

funny you didn't not point out the obvious that the hook is much bigger/heavier compares to the JDM version to help keel the bait a bit better so it doesn't roll to the side and track better too
Great information
How MB even sold those JDM ones is crazy! Just goes to show you that jumping on the bandwagon doesn't always pay.
excellent comparison. I'll have to remember and apply this information whenever I buy any soft plastic swimbaits, not just magdrafts.
Boil water dip stiff baits into the water for 3 to 5 seconds let cool and test
I still haven't gotten any of the 5" magdrafts because I've used the original (or JDM) 5" ones and didn't like them at all. I figured they were the same bait. Thanks for talking me into spending more money lol!
My Asian bill dance another awesome video. Just started to buy the 5 inch glad I watched
One of my favorite 5 bassy channels right now. Good stuff bro! Don't have the 5" yet, rarely use the 6 but great info.
Take a 4 inch nail and clamp it in a lockjaw plier. Heat it with a torch. Press it against the tail, perpendicular to the. Make 5, 6, indentations on both sides. That should fix it.
I’m glad I watched this because I also been fishing the JDM 5 inch magdraft and I didn’t like it because of that that’s why I didn’t buy them when they came to the US but now I will since I watch this
Love your videos, keep it up brotha
they’re terrible
Do you always use a snap ? Seems like a good idea to get a little more head wiggle , good video
I’m just starting to catch ‘em on a Magdraft even landed a big walleye with one of ‘em.
I've added weight to the hooks and softened the tails.
Thanks for sharing your findings to potential Magdraft customers.
I need a 5" and 6" trout par patterned Magdraft =(
In cold water , winter , less might be more…
Great information and thank you for your quality videos. I am looking forward to the video when you are able to get the quite underwater shots.
Great video. I'm interested in your suggestions about using a snap with the 6" and 8". I've always tied directly, but in this video it looked like you used a snap. Thank you!
I wonder why they would fix one version and not the other? Interesting. I have a few 6” that I haven’t thrown yet. Haven’t bought any 5” yet. I know which version I will get now when I do. Thanks for sharing!
I have boiled mine. Seems to work! Big ups sniper!
Boilling the magdraft to soften the Silicon
