3 Swimbaits for beginners w/ Chad Hoover from kayakbassintv

3 Swimbaits for beginners w/ Chad Hoover from kayakbassintv- I sit down with Chad Hoover from Kayak bassin tv and go over my choice’s for 3 swimbaits for beginners who have never thrown a swimbait before while bass fishing. 3 Cheap and easy presentation’s to get you from the top to the bottom of the water column that you don’t need specialized gear to throw. A spro bbz top water rat, River 2 sea S-waver 168, and a Huddleston 68 Special. All 3 of these swimbaits are inexpensive and will have you covered in most any situation. And hopefully land you a new personal best!

  1. Nice have the 168 just ordered a baitsanity trout and a imakatsu bassroid triple double wakebait trout looking forward to that first bite Cheers!! :))

  2. Very good information. Thank you both for taking the time to create and post this.
I also appreciated the description of angling evolution. I had not considered it before, but in retrospect, it is spot on. For me, the evolution has not been a one-way trip. Sometimes I find I am frustrated while in the "method fishing" phase, and revert back to "many fish" or even "any fish". Then, I progress back into a particular "method", such as swimbait, jig, buzzbait (so addictive when the bite is on).
Again, many thanks for the good videos from both of you.

  3. New to this channel but very good video. I just got an 8 inch Huddleston recently; thinking about putting it on a 7 foot ugly stick with a 5500 ambassadour. I'm new to swimbaiting so I was just curious about your thoughts on my plan. Keep up the good information!! Excited to learn more.

  4. I still don't understand the swimbait only mindset. It limits the amount and big fish you will catch. I could see doing it for stripers but huge bass love small jigs and worms. I love this channel because it's my go to spot for swimbaits but the truth is… conditions have to be perfect for me to throw a huge swimbait. If I was in a bass tourney I would probably throw it less than 5% of the time because quantity is more important. Anyway, awesome video and I'm glad you made it down there to fish with Chad. Very cool

  5. Awesome video James! I'll be at clear lake December 30, driving all the way from Iowa! I have the swimbait addiction as well, going to be chucking 8" hudds looking for that giant!
