Took my Sundolphin Kingsporty 12 kayak into a creek that runs into the Hiwassee river in search of white bass. I had caught a few off the bank of this creek and wanted to explore it some more and try to catch more fish.

John, you’re a good looking guy, but personally you could lose the beard 😉
White bass pretty much turn to mush when you thaw them after freezing.
It's amazing to see how far you have come in just a year ! God bless

Tellico River from the bridge @ Ball Play to the mouth of Tellico Lake to catch some white bass "biggens". It's a sweet trip we used to make on inner tubes as kids before the lake was built. My favorite time of year is when these guys make their run. I hope I'm well enough after shoulder surgery to get on a few of these this year. 🙂
That log is why guys keep a chainsaw in their bass boats
A few months ago maybe September after creek fishing a few nice smallies my girl and I decided to try the lake out for a large mouth or two got the skunk instead felling like usual while packing up for the night gerrrrr should have stayed put would have at least caught one more where we where but no worries though and as where about loaded I noticed a nice bass tracker coming in for the night worried a bit about him loading it over the lake being quiet low and worried he might get stuck on the ramp so we kinda lingered until got out in case he needed a pull he didn't and as we were about to leave he offered us some white bass I had only used them for bait and not a lot of that even he explained that they were a delicious tasting fish he said comparable to crappie reluctantly I took 5 of the 40 or better he had in his live well and took them home for supper that night only regret of it all is I didn't take the ten or more he was offering it was the best fish I've ever cooked myself hoping to find a way to pack a freezer full next year as always great video God bless
The tree crossing was certainly easier than going to that steep muddy bank. you are fishing deeper when you came back. they love the mouth of the creeks.
God bless you buddy great job I love your channel you are one of the best but I love to watch
John that looks like fun, I bet their good eating, get some and have a cautch and cook. AS ALWAYS GOD BLESS!
You need a pet beaver.
I know you are throwing stuff that they hit well, but next Spring try a 1/8th oz tiny rat l trap or the 3/16th oz super spot. If you have neither of them try a small Gay Blade. All of these work as long as they are small and chrome on sides with either blue or black top. I troll with these lures in the lake and the white bass love them. Just a thought.

Glad to see ya' with a floatation device. One of my cousins drown in Tennessee.
Your bait was a tad big for White Bass. A 3" grub is about perfect. You were right about the Rooster Tail.
영상 잘 봤읍니다
I'm thinking about getting that kayak for some lake/cove fishing. it seems pretty stable. Have you taken it on any lakes?
What kind of spinning Reel are you using? Very Nice…
Nice kayak video. My kind of creek right there.
U made me nervos scootin over that log like that😎👍

Awesome video!
Man, I was cringing the whole time you were going over that log….I was thinking that it was going to turn into a "Bill Dance" moment….. LOL
Nice tactical moves with that kayak man..great video..I'm getting ready for my first kayak…can't wait to start that kind of fishing..small cheeks..back areas..enjoyed all the fish..keep your lines tight..awesome time..thanks
What sized jighead were you using with that nikko shad swimbait? Do you think it'd perform as well with a comparably sized underspin? Thanks
When I was kid fishing river drainage ditches in SE MO we caught white bass by the 100s…have pictures of me standing in the bed of a pick-up knee deep in white bass!!! F-U-N!!!
Oooweee
Since you do not keep your fish how about telling your followers where you are fishing
Exploring more waters in yer Kayak seems to be working John. Fishing areas ya may not get ta fish from shore. Going over the log …..well glad you made it safe. Not the time for a swim eh ? Keep on keeping on. Tom Daytona Beach, FL.
Awesome day out!
Just a small piece of advice from a former kayak angler. Cotton Kills. Jeans and cotton/cotton blend clothing are not an ideal choice for even late-winter/early spring kayak fishing.
The general rule of thumb is that you should wear a drysuit with appropriate base layers when the Air Temperature + Water Temperature is below 120 degrees F. Hypothermia sets in very quickly in water under 65 degrees. The chart linked below is primarily aimed at Sea Kayakers, who spend most of their time wet, but it applies to inland lakes, creeks and rivers too. Stay Safe.
Also, I suggest strongly that you take a paddling course that includes 'self rescue' training and that you practice that until it's as automatic as breathing. I'm sure there is a paddlesport shop near you where you can get the training.
Just trying to keep you safe brother!
OH..and BTW–the company that made SunDolphin Kayaks went out of business last year.. Hemisphere Design Works.

Are there still any hybrid white bass/stripe on the Hiwasee between Charleston and the Hwy 411 bridge? 25 to 30 years ago we used to all kinds of them. I think TWRA used to stock some in there because we used to catch some that were marked with a tag. Those were good eating too. Just curious if you had ran across anything like that up yonder. Thank you for another great video and you finally got on a local spot that I can't remember seeing. Stay safe😷
You’re playing a dangerous game by trying to move across that tree 😂😂 but I can’t say much cause I do that stuff all the time
Where at in tn like what city
Fun Stuff brother! Thanks for sharing!!!
Gotta love those swimbaits! 🙂
Another great hit,keep them coming
So here's what I want to know when are we going fishing I'm loading the yak up now
Hola amigo aqui ya en tu canal saludos
It rain all day today could not get out keep up the good work..
I want to watch this video, but youtube keeps showing me a 5 minute commercial first on all videos. No skip and I don't know how to make it go away. Anyone?
Awesome video did you get any flooding in Tennessee we got hit pretty bad in Heath and Newark Ohio I'm just glad that God will continue to protect them I have some friends and families that live close to the river between Newark and Heath with God's help anything is possible
Dude with how you like the smaller ones consider using Mule jigs. Another guy on You Tube creates them, Online Outdoorsman, and man the smaller hook and shape of the head kills all sizes of fish. Love your channel!!
Why didn't you just pull the kayak and go around the logs. I think it be a lot easier then sitting on the lights pulling kayak over them
Haha yes! Getting over the obstacle!
