5″ SWIMBAITS FOR STRIPERS – Easy Limits in Shallow Flats on California Delta (Tides & Technique)

Find big schools of stripers in shallow water feeding on shad in the winter. Some of the best action you can have catching big numbers of stripers are in these shallow flooded islands in the delta. These islands are the home to many of the baitfish stripers love to eat (bluegill, shad and squawfish). Fishing in two to six feet of water, you have to use the right swimbaits and the right jigheads to be productive. I’ve had many days catching fifty to 100 striped bass as they make the Delta their home all winter long where they feed up and grow big!
