What Happened to the Bass? Why Don't the Bass Want a Swimbait Now?

What happened to the bass around here? Why don’t they want a swimbait now? I was catching some nice bass on the Keitech Swimbait, so I thought I would try it again. I fished it at two different locations, but the action isn’t like it was the day before. I caught a three pounder and a few other nice bass just a day ago! So why won’t they go for it today? I did manage to catch one single bass at the second spot I tried, so its not a total skunk. I am not sure what happened. The weather has been warm, the water level is good, it seems like similar conditions. Why don’t the bass want the swimbait anymore? I don’t know. #realistic #fishing

  1. Great instruction at the end of the video. I appreciate all the coaching, tips, tricks and mostly because you keep it real. You show the snags and the hang ups. All things most of us go through while fishing. Thanks Alex. KiR!!!

  2. Great video Alex!! Even though you only caught one bass, you showed us just how realistic fishing is!! That's just one of the reasons that you're my favorite YouTuber!! Thank you for always keeping it realistic!!

  3. Those constantly changing variables keep things interesting, and keep us from taking it for granted. If it's too easy all the time, it wouldn't be as much fun, and we wouldn't learn to appreciate the catches we do make.

  4. Thank you for the great advice Alex but hey that's just how it goes on day your catching the next, your fishing 😂 Thanks for sharing and showing us how you keep it realistic 👊🏽💯💯💯👍🏽

  5. Sup Alex, did get a bass. I've been wondering same thing my whole life lol. Huge difference in 24 hours.. it's why I fear changing up lures.. learning from you I do switch up now. It's frustrating. Tyvm tc 🎣

  6. Out here in New Hill, NC this has got to be one of the worst seasons so far for bass fishing, either on the boat or fishing from the bank,,,,,, depressing!

  7. I know what you’re going through. Bass fishing is tough in my area right now too. Maybe my luck will change when I go to Florida in a couple of weeks. I caught my PB in FL back in March on a chatterbait. And I agree with you about not being stuck on one lure. That’s why I always take three or four rods with me with a different lure on each one! Thanks for another great video! Keep on keeping it realistic!

  8. True words! Alex Have heard it called 'fishing a memory'. when you use the same thing over and over becuase it worked great one time. Thanks for the reminder to change it up and be realisitc!.

  9. You are totally right that one day can be entirely different than the next. That’s what makes it fun and interesting—it’s never the same experience and you never know what you are going to get until you’re in the moment.

Thank you for sharing your honest experiences with us!

  10. its been the same for me up here in Wisconsin, was killing it for a few weeks and all of a sudden its been a grind just to catch one bass! still going out there every day but might have to take your advise and try some new lures or maybe new colors?

  11. Facts sir. You have to always be willing to adapt to try to get a bite. But if you caught fish all the time, it would be called catching and not fishing. Love your videos. Keep on keeping it realistic.

  12. I always think its amazing how you usually use one bait or lure. Im not that patient. If I dont get a bite one a lure ill change to something different in 15 mins or so depending on the place Im fishing. Thanks for explaining about switching up lures. Alot of people seem to stay with 1 all the time. 👏👍🏻
