I wonder if a bull bass would be far fetched?
The Dobyns 795 is a 7’9 Medium Heavy rod correct ?
Best way to test a bait cast it as high into the air as you can on a gravel road and look for stone marks.
There is about a week long window that can happen where Bluegill SwimBaits will get crushed by the biggest bass. I try to be ready for it every year. It doesn't always happen but when it does, I don't want to miss a single day. This bait looks like it will help in finding it sooner than later. I'm in.

I would appreciate one that fishes deeper. I like to use my shellcracker g2 for surface stuff and im looking for a bluegill bait that I can fish in the 4ft and down range

Man i just dont see that catching bass in my area, columbus ohio(midwest) but im just a shore angler and only get to fish small ponds and corys. What do you think gene should i give it a try in small pressure ponds and cories?
