For the soft plastic swim bait try using a non slip loop knot. I’ve used a few similar ones and the loop knot helps with the side swimming

Those particular Truscend lures are crap. They don't sing and they don't swim well. The ones w the weights in the belly however are fire

Did you catch anything on the multi joint swim baits? I thought for sure there would be a getting bit comparison.
I have the 3 pack of the truscends that look like small pike and they worked really good for me pike fishing last year
Next time go to aliexpress and pay half the price you would pay on Amazon. The jointed baits that use nylon for the joints don't last past a couple of nice fish. They deform.
They ain't that cheap anymore. The 5 pack used to be 7.99$ and it's 14.99$ now.
I like my large soft plastic lures to run a little on their side to simulate and injured fish. Worked great for me for Pike in Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and here in in UK.

They are phenomenal baits, just be sure to change out the hooks. The hooks rust and straighten out on bigger fish.
