Spareful Hand is a Lv.91 skill which lets you ‘store’ moochable fish to be used at a later time. This only works with Large-sized fish (or fish caught with Makeshift Bait), and fish can be added as Swimbait by catching a moocable fish, then using the Spareful Hand ability. The stored fish will now be selectable in the Bait and Tackle window, and when selected, acts just like normal bait would.
This also means that you can use skills which would otherwise cancel current mooching opportunities (like Prize Catch, Patience / Patience II, and Chum) with mooches! Simply store a moochable fish with Spareful Hand, use the skills you want, select the swimbait, and cast out.
Note that you can no store fish with Spareful Hand if Surface Slap or Identical Cast is active.
This skill is extremely powerful on fish which are caught off mooches, especially those with small windows or intuition buffs (like, Charibenet). Simply arrive to a window early, and use Spareful Hand to store the fish you’ll need to mooch. Once the window opens, select your swimbait, and cast out, repeating for at least 3 guaranteed mooches in the window.
Good luck and happy fishing!
