Snakehead fishing on swimbait at Blackwater Maryland.

#FishyAngler #Blackwater #SnakeheadFishing

In this episode I’m fishing for snakeheads a new (to me) spot in Blackwater. The day was slow. I chat with other anglers there and they didn’t land any snakeheads, although the had a few bites. I had no action in the morning, but i got a few fish closer to mid day and the skunk was gone. πŸ˜‰

  1. Next time stay on the left side, instead going to the right..That spot is loaded, but you have to stay in narrow waters. if you decide going to the right side, make sure you gonna be running parallel to the spatter dock, and cast along the edges…reason ? you would have the chance to cover more water. Make sure you cast along the edge, at least 3 to 4 times, with a separation between cast no more than a couple feet..That way whatever is gonna be laying down, close to the vegetation would chase your lure. do it 2 times with a frog, and couple more with a spinner bait…but you need to get closer to the edge. casting the way you did it, is gonna require more than 50 casts in order to cover a 100 feet stretch..running parallel, you will cover that with only 10 casts.Rather to fish that particular spot early in the morning or before sunset…We came in 4th place fishing that spot at the past tournament from Amped Up outdoors…believe me..it's a good spot, no need to go to the right side…plus..the Wawa store is very close…lol

  2. Not giants, but those snakeheads were really nice-looking! Loved the drone footage, and the effort you take to edit these videos! I've been subscribed to your channel, but didn't have the bell notification turned on — sorry, it's been corrected!

  3. Success at a new location is always a plus! That drone footage shows how beautiful that place is, and I would be right at home with all those pads, haha.

  4. Awesome drone footage. What are you flying? I've been too scared to fly mine from my kayak. It was a tough bite for me the past few times I fished that area, but it's prime habitat for snakehead. A slow presentation seems to work when the bite is tough. I hope to get back over there soon.
