Cranking down Swimbaits for big bass has never worked out for me. I’ve always been a top water wake bait fiend since I started, so it’s been really hard to even give cranking a chance. This outing I kind of made a deal with myself to wake for the first half of retrieve and crankdown for the second half and see if anything ever happens. I was happy that I was able to get a few fish in this manner and even a kicker 4lb 8oz fish that was well over 20″ long. I was cranking Bruce Gillis about as fast as I could.
Only a short video but wanted to get it out none the less. Please have patience for the first couple minutes as I do show some catches in the morning darkness.
