Welcome back to the channel everybody! @OliverNgy and Jonathan Nguyen went up to Clear lake to chase #BigBassDreams. Jonathan has had a 10 year reprieve from serious bass fishing, so Oliver wanted to show him what it was like on one of the top ten bass fisheries in the country!
Day 3 continues with a shift in focus on ONE BIG bite with the swimbait. A catastrophy unfolds as the reel becomes unseated from the rod (due to negligence) and the battle ensues as Oliver attempts to gain and maintain control of a big swimbait eating Clear Lake bass!

Hey brother, my Blackjack came today….Wow! I was a bit skeptical having a T. Baccarac, if it would be too close to the same rod, with them both being up to 4 Oz. But man, you were so right, that thing is perfect for 262's or bomb casting 185s and defiants in open water, and it compliments the TB as a shorter skipping rod. Appreciate your help, I'm gonna get out this evening and put that Blackjack to work!

Totally awesome if It can go wrong it will at the worst time When I caught my PB the rod snapped 12ft from shore managed to land it but it wasnt pretty reminded me of this well At least you could laugh about it now👍

I just had the same thing happen to me and it was with the exact reel you are using as well, my fish wasnt a DD but she went 8.1lbs. I had to handline the fish in but i got her. Instagram handle: catching_california go check her out. 👊🏻🤙
