Bass fishing with swimbaits is insane because you can catch crazy big bass on any lake. I’ve been toying with a couple rigs fishing for bass that use fishing lures like the Gambler EZ swimbait and the Bull Shad Swimbait. Love that A rig,and bucca swim bait w a carolina weight! Killer tactics! I've yet to catch w my A rig , but I throw it oftentimes. And keep it tied on the deck if I'm at a lake w good bass!

So using a fast sink or the extra fast sink won't work. Does that have to do with keeping up above the bottom or is it the speed of the retrieve?

You know there is something I just cannot understand about this channel and these videos……Probably the most comprehensive and knowledgeable videos on you tube, but only 21 thousand subscribers. I just don’t get it, some channels have absolute crap on them and have half a million subscribers and do stupid Mickey Mouse rod challenges…this guy does and teaches and shows the real thing and has 20k subscribers. Love the rig, I like throwing it a lot shallower than most guys. I throw teasers only on the top with no weight and 1/8 on the middle and bottom to keep it in that 6-13ft range. Killer video!
There is nothing wrong with throwing an umbrella rig. I will say that it can be quite tedious and it's not my favorite technique. However, big bass are fun to catch no matter the lure(s)!
