We cast a bluegill swimbait to an aggressive largemouth and watch him tear it apart! He wasn’t afraid to eat the swimbait over and over.

This underwater video is different from what we’ve done in the past. This is one of a series of underwater bass fishing videos we’ll be rolling out in the coming weeks that don’t have voice over or other audio. The purpose of these videos is simply to watch bass in their natural habitats and watch how they respond to swimbaits, jigs, worms, etc.
Leave us a comment and let us know what you learn along the way!

They do swam my first swim bait super slow first time I've thrown a swimbat caught a 4ilber
Watching ancient TB vidsβ¦itβs crazy Matt and Tim used to respond to comments πππ
Looked like he was playing eith it but this video taught me that you can cast it a ton of times Infront of the same fish and they will keep trying and trying which is good instead of thinking you have to sweep the area constantly. Thanks
Can you use these Bluegill swimbaits in July? I primarily fish private ponds.
Its way to frigging big. He's only hitting cause its pissing him off…
I enjoy watching all these underwater fishing tutorials it teaches you alot
They get so pissed! I'd like to see this with the small gilly
Wow last shot, must show power of lateral line, how else did that fish know to turn around?
Keep the voice overs coming IMO
They were mouthing the baits but not eating them.
This also is a great representation of how bass protect their beds, what Iβve learned from this is that the male is always searching and looking for things that could harm his eggs, so now I know to always make a couple casts into a bed before moving on!
This doesn't really prove anything, most bass will nip other fish around a nest. They aren't trying to eat it they are trying to protect the eggs…

These videos are the most helpful things possible for me! I am new to fishing and canβt thank you enough π
New to bass, so do bass just eat anything that breaks the surface?
I love the basses facial expression
Bro it will eat it if u let it be still
The bass that swam behind after that 2md lure pass was a HOG
Cβest nul. La femelle dΓ©fend son nid , elle attaquerait nβimporte quel leurre. Vraiment pas intΓ©ressant
I feel if that gill was a size smaller that bass is in the boat.
Noooooowwww I see why those hooks be hangin on those tummyβs of them plastic fake fishy things in walmart
thats pretty messed up to bed fish like that totally disturbing nature, bad karma at it's finest.
I have a lot to learn. I was thinking that this was the worst lure of all time. Then I read the comments and realize he really wasn't trying to eat it. Just get it out his territory. Is that, right?
Whopper ploper
Bed fishing is unethical……
Omg. Horrible
Love your vids! But, I must say sight fishing and bed fishing is WRONG! Would you really want somebody breaking into your home and antagonizing you and your wife while expecting a newborn???
Dude.Your a dick for disturbing the nest to try to provoke an attack on that lure.
Haha these haters make me chuckle. As you at Tactical Bassin know, bed fishing is SO MUCH MORE than just dragging a bait through or a leaving it in a bed. There is important body language and so much more details to pay attention to. I love your videos. Finally I found a channel that is as geeky and detailed as I am in regards to bass fishing. Tightlines.
U suck
CLICKBAIT
In my humble opinion the fish were just slightly annoyed. Perhaps if you had a way to slow the swimbait up quite a bit maybe rig it more nose down and just tease the line they probably would have hit it harder. A smaller jig would have produced more of a reaction. Definitely more of a fan of voice over commentary.
What can you do to make those bass eat it vs just when they mouth the bait or bite the tail especially of youre bed fishing and you cant see the bed or fish?
umm yea common sense bass eat bluegill. They also eat anything else that gets around their bed.
If you'd have used it as a swimbait like its intended you'd have busted their asses. That jigging action on the bream swimbait doesn't work very good unless its high up in the water and on the move.
Nice video
Demasiado malo
As you can tell the fish isn't in the mood to eat the fish is bedded on a nest of eggs and is wanting to protect its eggs from getting eaten this is the only reason the bass is trying to bite the fish
Dont think it lke the feel of the lure
