I always had the best luck at the top pond.
I like hearing these stories. I have this one pond I've caught multiple 4's and 5's but this year I went and fished while they were on beds and I've seen atleast 2 monsters. my p.b. is 6lb 1oz and these 2 fish look twice as big. I had one come out of the coontail and suck my jig in and spit it out to get it away from her bed and went back in the coontail. I had another one come up and waller around for a bait I was reeling in from flipping a beaver damn twice but she was to slow ( or I was 2 fast ) I've started throwing bigger bluegill baits and swimbaits and every once in a while I'll get to see a bucket hit it and back off but I think they see me when I see them and theyre gone after that. I cannot wait to pull one put and see what it weighs. one if then will.come up and sun real shallow but when I get to where I can see her she's back in the coontail. hope fully I can have some urban giant stories by years end.
