how to get to your secret spot?
@BACK FISHING all the big bass in the ocean would eventually have to traverse San Pablo , Suisun bays , Montezuma and the best of all the Napa River before arriving in the Delta and Rio Vista area .
@ BACK FISHING , yes a few 30 plus pounders in the ‘70’s were pretty much routine if a person halfway knew what they were doing . 40 plus was not uncommon .
Oh man , the memories !
I started fishing the bay/Montezuma as a 5 yr old in 1959. It was a paradise of striped bass , salmon , sturgeon and catfish in the 1960- 1985 era .
Especially striped bass . It wasn’t unusual to catch a 3 fish limit of 20-25 pound fish in the fall , Especially if using bullheads . .
Looks great! Nice views of the bay. Leo…you're a natural! 🙂
