Everyone knows how good a keitech swimbait is, but there are a few ways of fishing this bait that other people may not be doing. In this video I want to show you how to fish this swim and the retrieves that I use to catch big bass on it!
BassFishingHQ is dedicated to teaching people how to catch more and bigger bass. I will go over different bass fishing tips & techniques that will put more fish in the boat or on the shore. Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned tournament angler, my goal is to help you catch more bass.

I GET HUNG UP MORE OFTEN THEN NOT WITH EXPOSED HOOK
Excellent video. Gonna try that pendulum technique for sure.
When using the pendulum, why reel up instead of jerking the rod? I found that interesting cause we use the same retrieve for fluke in the north east, and they always hit it on the swing after a sharp jerk or two up.
I don’t know much but I know you don’t drag a trouble hook on the bottom for 10 feet. Are you gonna be catching his grass?
Spike it is good, but you can’t beat JJ’s Magic. I catch way more with JJ’s since I switched.
Тhe hook stuck in the rod handle?! Тo be honest – I didn't look any further.
Enjoyed the video thanks
600 to 630….. what did he say? I’m not sure if he knows if he’s coming or going 😂
I catch lot of fish like this… But if your river fishing it's snag city with any open hook lure (in my area)
It looks like you make your own jigheads with Do-it molds, I do the same thing myself with the molds but with worm nose or ball head screw lock, I find that the Keitech’s stay on longer and have less ‘pulling my pants down’ moments by the bass I fish until they rip the tail off, then I will have to re-rig.
How often do you dip your tails into the dye?
What about the pendulum swing when fish are 15 feet deep in 50 feet of water? What size head would you use in this situation? Thanks
Mikey balls 😆🎯
What’s the ball head jig head?
What hook size do you recommend
Thanks for the great info.
No one will answer but what yall think about glow In dark lures or flashing red lite lure ?
I use the weighted eagle claw Skeet Reese swimbait hooks to make it weedless in 3/0 size using a 3.8 Keitech
PENGELLING…
Keitech makes by FAR the best swimbait on the market. I use a 3in on a Gamakatsu 1/0 with a split shot. That way, I can change the depth and action. I’ve tried every other swimbait out there and nothing gets action like the salted with squid scent version.
08:50 do what to the bait?
awesome tips
Hey dude great video. I fish this exact bait an awful lot here in the UK, mainly for Perch Pike and Zander, and I use your 2nd technique always. And this produces so many fish! So just like bass, the Perch Pike and Zander will all hit this Lure on the drop it really gets them going especially with the vibration the ribbed profile gives off!
I use all these rigging and techniques I also put a 3.5 kytec on a 3/8 1/2 oz. wobble head in deep water during the winter I slowly drag it on the bottom
How many rods have you stepped on and broke setting the hook on bigger fish? The deck seems to have little foot room.
The pendulum technique is one of my favorites for river smallmouth. Some of my biggest fish have been from the pendulum. It is insane how good it is. I always called it tight lining but pendulum is a much better way to describe it!
Nice video, I really appreciate the tips that you offered. A couple of the tips I had not really thought about. Thanks.
@9:48 "…..on your simple tWo dEeE…. (peasants)" 🤣
Just got a couple of bags of this in the mail, really productive bait, those tips are more than welcome, thanks my fellow angler friend.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, experience and passion
