I have been fishing my line through pulse tails like this for the last couple of years when big ones are shallow. The rate of stall while being able to remain within a few inches of the surface has helped me catch a bunch of giants!

I've done this on a few of my 4D pulse tails. Works especially well when you have carp in your lake that like to hang out near the surface.
