9lb Bass on Bull Shad Swimbaits Bull Gill Swimbait while Kayak Fishing on Memorial Day Weekend!

Finally got to take the 5″ inch Bull Gill jointed swimbait by Bull Shad Swimbaits (Mike Bucca) out on the lake kayak bass fishing and it did not disappoint! Had a bass hit the 5″ bull gill swimbait early in the morning, but it shook off the bait. Then hours later, hooked up on another lake giant at 9lbs and 24 inches!

This is the second bass I caught out here that weighed over 9lbs, the first was back in August of 2018 and my current personal best of 9lb-7oz, 25 inches in length (watch here: https://youtu.be/ohq9B034-64?t=118)

Gear Used:
5″ Bull Gill Slow Sink Swimbait by Bull Shad Swimbaits
7’6″ Kistler Magnesium 2 HMH-XF Rod
Shimano Bantam MGL XG Reel
17″ Sufix Monofilament

  1. Congrats on the toad! I'm a firm believer in Kistler Rods and Bucca's Bull Shad swimbaits! I Throw my Bull Shads on the 7'10" Helium Heavy and my bigger BS swimbaits on the new 7'10" KLX for 3-9 oz baits! Check out my channel for some river Smallmouth Bull Shad action! Good Fishin' my friend!
