My Profile:
http://www.mattstefanfishing.com/
I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. At that point, I moved to Junction City, WI with my wife Sara and two boys Hank and Duke. I’ve been fishing professionally since 2011 and full-time since 2015. I’ve qualified for six MLF Championships and won roughly a half million in tournament winnings at the professional level.
Very simple! I feel like I going down a very expensive rabbit hole with the other videos on this dang hook question!
thanks…right to the point !
Love ur swimbait weighted hooks, I’ve ordered several packages of each size and hooks size you offer.
The BEST swimbait hook!!
Straight to the point! Exactly what I needed to know ❤❤
A little more technical question. Do you want to use the biggest weighted swimbait hook the belly can handle?
Solid. Straight to the point. Super helpful!
Would you recommend I split the belly even with a weightless beast hook ? Thanks
What rod and line for your 6 inch hollowbellied swimbaits?
Great thought
Quick and clear. 1/0 for every inch of length. Awesome stuff. Look forward to the next video for weight per inch Matt ;).
Thanks Matt, that does seem easy enough. I've never thought about slitting the belly of a hollow body swim bait. Great tip!
That makes so much sense!
Thanks, Matt. That's just what I have been looking for! I'll use that info next time I put a swimbait on a weighted hook.
Thanks Matt.
thank you sir
found your channel from a recent video randy blauket put out and now I’m addicted!!! Hands down you have the best info channel out there for tournament anglers from tips to tricks. Keep up the awesome content!!
Great info, thank you
Excellent tip. Thank you.
Great advice Matt!
Great video!!
Someone asked me this question few days ago on a different channel and I wish I had of made it this simple but- I never even looked at it this way. I just told them to make sure the point came out in the back 1/3rd of the main body- just before the tail section. Which is confusing- especially for someone not used to swim baits. If I can find the post I'll go back and refer him to this video- thanks Matt.
Lol love the simplicity and thanks for the reminder to slit the belly of the bait
That was easy!! Thanks 😊
Always ask a pro. Matt is the best no nonsense pro in the business Many Thanks
WOW I feel stupid. Are there other simple size rules of thumb for other baits.
Thanks, Matt great info!
🤔 that may be easy enough for me to remember. Now before everyone laughs, I used to be able to remember every single detail, now some of my nerve medicine for my back makes me forget everything, so I appreciate keeping it simple! Thanks 👍
Great tips I thought you would have touched on the weight size is 1/4 pretty standard
Finally, guidance on hook to bait length to guide rigging. Thank you.
Thank you for making that very simple. Really appreciate your videos!
good stuff matt!! Hope you and your family have a terrific Labor Day weekend. God bless!
Do you use the same hook size to bait length rule for all your soft baits, like worms and lizards?
That’s actually a great tip , also so simple hook size to inches . 😁😁
Another great video. One of the best fishing channels on YouTube! Succinct, informative info shared in a straightforward manner with no BS. Thanks Matt!🎣
Great video Matt, what weights do you like to start with for the various sized hooks? Say for fishing weedless in 8-12 foot depth as a starting point.
Holy smokes man this is brilliant! I definitely overthought this lol! Props Matt!
awesome thanks
Never thought of it that way I appreciate Matt great tips God bless 🙏
Thanks for that Great tip!!!!👊🏻 You made it so simple and easy to remember what hook to use.👍🏻 Stay Safe & God Bless!!!
Great tip
Great simple tip, thanks for sharing as always
Would you please describe the advantages of a hollow belly versus a boot tail swimbait solid body. That would be a great help to give me a little confidence in the Hollow Bodies.
Haven't been able to get out and try the the Berkley Hollow belly that I've had for quite some time. So I needed this one because I do have some fusion hooks with screw locks. Thank you
